Installation Views and Help
The pictures below will show some of the actual installation and modifications of the 1979 - 1986 Instrument Cluster.
- The pictures showing the Full Panel Housing being secured to the dash and hung from the visors are meant to aid you while making the electrical connections, etc. This wil keep the front of the Cluster from being scratched or damaged.
- You will also see in several pictures, areas of the plastic inner parts of the dash that will need modifying.
Note: Not all dash areas will require the same modifications. Some could be less, some slightly more. (Tools to use for cutting - Die Grinder, Roto-Zip or Dremel)
- The pictures showing the electrical connectors are for you to see how a 3-M T-Tap connects to the wire and then how the wire from the Cluster connects to the T-Tap
- A picture of a fuse box with a Add-A-Circuit Fuse Holder, showing a typical placement in the factory fuse box.
